Components of CCTV System

Release Time:2024.06.21

The smart ip CCTV system mainly consists of three parts: front-end equipment, back-end equipment and transmission system. Front-end equipment: mainly composed of cameras, lenses, protective covers, pan/tilts, decoders, brackets, etc. Their main function is to collect image signals from each monitoring point and then transmit them to the back-end equipment in the central control room through the transmission system.

The camera is the front end of the entire WiFi CCTV system with two-way audio, and its image quality directly determines the image quality of the entire system. There are several types of cameras: smart fixed cameras with infrared night vision, smart WiFi zoom cameras, PTZ dome cameras, integrated dome cameras and bullet cameras. Fixed cameras are generally used for monitoring areas with a smaller range; zoom cameras are used for areas where the viewing angle of the surveillance target needs to be changed and the viewing angle range is larger. WiFi security cameras with battery are divided into two types: wireless integrated cameras and bullet cameras with PTZ. The smart PTZ dome camera is a new camera system that integrates a CCD camera, a zoom lens, an all-round pan/tilt and a decoder. In terms of performance, it has achieved high-speed and infinitely variable speed movement of the pan/tilt, precise presets of lens zoom and aperture. , program-based multi-preset settings, and even focusing functions during exercise, so that the home WiFi camera system has automatic patrol and partial automatic tracking functions, transforming from a purely functional type to an intelligent one. The bullet type camera with PTZ consists of camera, zoom lens, PTZ, decoder, protective cover and bracket. Its main features are large and wide monitoring range, fast zoom speed, and truly no blind spots in monitoring.

The PTZ is divided into a constant speed PTZ and a DC variable speed PTZ. The uniform speed gimbal rotates slowly, with the horizontal rotation speed generally being 6°/second and the vertical rotation speed generally being 3°/second; the DC variable speed gimbal rotates faster, such as the British Molynx gimbal, which is the fastest gimbal on the market and is generally horizontal. The rotation speed is 48°/second and the vertical rotation speed is 24°/second. Decoders are divided into AC decoders and DC decoders. You can control the rotation of the pan/tilt, the zoom and focus of the lens, and you can also control the pan/tilt and lens that support the preset function. Protective covers are divided into indoor protective covers and outdoor protective covers. The British molynx protective cover has a high level of protection, generally IP66 standard. Its outstanding dust-proof, corrosion-resistant and waterproof functions are especially suitable for harsh outdoor environments. Transmission system: refers to the transmission network that connects front-end and back-end devices.

Transmission media generally consists of cables (power cables, video cables, control cables) and optical fibers. The transmission equipment consists of optical transceivers and video codecs. Optical transceivers are divided into single-mode optical transceivers and multi-mode optical transceivers, analog optical transceivers and digital optical transceivers. Video codecs can transmit video signals and control signals and are generally used for long-distance network transmission. Back-end equipment: mainly composed of control equipment, display equipment, recording equipment and peripheral equipment. The control equipment is a matrix control host, control keyboard, multimedia computer, etc.; the display equipment is a monitor; the video equipment is a time-lag video recorder, a hard disk video recorder, etc.; the peripheral equipment is a multi-screen splitter, video distributor, etc. The main function of the back-end device is to process, control, display and record the signals collected by the front-end.
