For smart security brands expanding globally, entering a new market means more than meeting local demand. Products must also comply with different certification and regulatory requirements.
From CE in Europe and FCC in the United States to TELEC in Japan and ANATEL in Brazil, compliance requirements can directly affect product development and launch timelines. We previously explored this topic in How to Reduce Compliance Risks When Sourcing Smart Security Products from China?
In India, one of the world’s fast-growing CCTV markets, cybersecurity is becoming an increasingly important part of market access.

India’s CCTV Market: Rapid Growth, Higher Compliance Requirements
India is emerging as an important market for the global video surveillance industry.
According to Mordor Intelligence, the India CCTV market was valued at USD 4.8 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow from USD 5.75 billion in 2026 to USD 14.25 billion by 2031, representing a CAGR of 19.88%. The residential and smart home segment is also projected to grow at approximately 20.15% CAGR during the same period.
Alongside this growth, India is strengthening security requirements for CCTV products.
STQC (Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification Directorate), under India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is responsible for testing and quality certification of electronic and IT products. For connected CCTV products, relevant security requirements extend beyond basic product performance to areas including critical hardware, software and firmware, cybersecurity, and vulnerability assessment.
For security brands entering India, having a functional product is no longer enough. Products must also be prepared for increasingly stringent local security and compliance requirements.
From Compliance Challenge to Market Access
One of Golden Vision’s customers was preparing to introduce its security camera products to the Indian market when new security certification requirements became a critical part of the market-entry process.
To support the project, Golden Vision carried out the necessary technical adaptation, testing and certification work. The project ultimately successfully completed the relevant STQC security certification requirements, helping the customer overcome a key compliance barrier to the Indian market.
This was more than obtaining a certificate.
Behind the certification was systematic validation covering multiple aspects of product security—from hardware and firmware security to software, network and data transmission security.
For the customer, it became a valuable passport to market: reducing the risk of compliance-related launch delays while creating an opportunity to move earlier in one of the world’s rapidly expanding security markets.
From Manufacturing to Market Readiness
Competition in the global smart security market is changing.
For brands and distributors, selecting a manufacturing partner is no longer simply about whether a product can be made or whether its specifications meet the brief.
Another question is becoming equally important:
Can the product meet the requirements of its target market and launch as planned?
The successful completion of this STQC project further demonstrates Golden Vision’s capabilities in product security, testing and validation, and global market compliance support.
Golden Vision supports global smart security projects across product development, manufacturing, testing and market-specific compliance preparation—helping customers reduce uncertainty and move products from the factory to their target markets.
